Bought a large quantity of (mostly folded) film posters, not my usual area.

Thought I would start research with a nice easy one and am stuck. This poster looks to be the left side of a double bill, it has wear, corner pin-holes, slight foxing to back. Portrait (as is now without section to right) 26.5 x 18.5 inches

Looks authentic, possibly ID of actors to early 70s, but I cant trace film other than the Bruce Lee 1972 classic and Transit Films is a mystery.

Back has handwritten "Return of the Dragon" and "Pigeon Club" (which has not helped me so far)

    Help!

    That doesn`t resemble Bruce Lee.
If I remember at the time there were a number of rip off films and TV series made by either Hong Kong or Taiwanese based movie makers.

Note the word "Colour" spelt in British English which suggests Hong Kong it being a British Crown colony and later Dependent Territory.

The thing that throws me with this poster is that the film name is the same as the US cinematic release although it was known as Way of the Dragon elsewhere. I know that there were a number of Bruceploitation clones but can't recall a film with the same title.

I don't think this has anything to do with the Bruce Lee film. They just used the same name as in the U.S. release. Your poster does not appear to have been for a U.S. release, due to the spelling of "colour" that was previously mentioned. So there should have been no problem with use of that title.

Hadn't seen this, great find and tends to confirm the early 70s date. So this may be another film with Return of the Dragon name?

ps Must stop cross posting with you!!!

By the way, the Internet Movie Database lists two films with the title Return of the Dragon. There is the Bruce Lee film, and also this one from 1974. There is some minimal information. The director of the film was from the Philippines, so I'm guessing that is where the release was:

And this one was not your film, either!

    That's what I'm thinking...
