    I was able to emerge after finding explanation #3. That one made sense to me.

    Not that the first two are wrong (or right), but a chemical interaction/reaction fits better with my limited understanding of hot glass. :joyful:

    Yeah, i know NADA about pearls but, have never seen one with an "orange peel finish" like one OP has.

    I contacted some experts. They said its a real pearl and they need some tests.

    What reasons have they given?.
    I struggle to know what's a real pearl when it's in my hand so it would be useful to know what the experts are seeing?.

    Three basic tests: led light. uv light. x ray
    With led light must take yellowish color.
    with uv light must make green color.
    and x ray show you the layers of pearl formation.
    I will post pictures later.

    I hope you'll also post the reasons the experts gave for their determination.

    To say the least, I'm extremely curious to know how the orange peel texture occurs in pearls!
