I'm going through my mom's stuff and came across this Victorian glass shoe. I was told it was Jadeite. But when I shined a blue light on it, it turned yellowish green. Does this shoe have uranium in it? Thanks!

Your Mosser shoe doesn't look green. Jadite is a green color. Yours looks more white.

    Not green - perhaps custard.

Uranium salts were used in the batch to shade the color towards yellow. A common term would be custard glass. As a Mosser product this is not Victorian/\. Check here for more information https://www.mosserglass.com
