Is this ring worthless?

    Hi
    I found this ring today in a country estate I assume it's just junk but wanted to check before I throw it in the bin! Any ideas? Thank you.

    Side view looks like Arabic script but then the one on the right looks like a standing crocodile with a snake.
    It looks like it has been underground or in salt water.
    Is it magnetic ?

    Thank you it certainly looks like your suggestion Messi. I had a look for markings inside the ring but it doesn't have any. Just looks very old to me. Thank you all for your reply.

    Good fine, Davy! To make out the Siamese/Thai dancing figures, the pics need to be turned about 90 degrees. The dancer has a tall pointy hat, arms out stretched, arched back and jumping with feet in the air.

    The only word missing is Niello, which is what that is. Go buy a Sunshine cloth,it will clean it nicely.
