Just what I was looking for, Thanks! I'm also trying to find out what accessories went with what doll. I have a slew of accessories, ranging from tennis racks, Walkmans, binoculars etc. to much to mention here.

Thanks! A great site too. I'll surely have to go through and take a look. Next step, when I get home later this week, is to go through ziplock bags full of barbie clothes. Never in my wildest dreams would I of thought I'd be saying that lol!

Have fun! My 13 yr old daughter, who never played with a Barbie, was going through all three totes like a kid in a candy store.

It's important to put together complete outfits with as many accessories as possible to get the most money. Both sites include pictures of Barbie's outfits with year and #.

Good site vintagerobin:) I'm like you and try to stick to the older ones.
@Armando0831 I've got a Barbie book that shows outfits with accessories from 1959-67 - if start a thread and post your stuff maybe I can find for them for you in the book.

The Barbie Closet, best identification book for older Barbies I have ever seen. I ended up with two copies (it is out of print) because I lent mine to an antique dealer friend and they swore I didn't... so I bought another copy then they found mine. Sigh. I love the older ones, played with them as a child, my favorite toy. I had the platinum swirl ponytail.... always wanted the brunette ponytail #3 with brown eyeliner. They are very pricey now.

This is the vintage cameo sterling pendant my husband got me for Christmas. It is of a good size. I like to identify the Greek/Roman goddesses on them. When I saw it, I immediately thought Aphrodite, but it is Hera that usually wears a crown. After some internet research, I found out that this is a carving of the Venus of Capua, a statue, and she does wear this diadem. Cool stuff.... love this.

I need one of those "husband things". This is something that turned up in my Christmas stocking, after I found it on a Facebook auction site. 1930s dragon's breath glass and sterling. DSCF0361 (640x461).jpg

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

    Husband things.
    Uh-huh.
My ol' man buys me presents that are actually for HIM.
Like... waffle-maker (HE likes waffles)... Chanel # 5 (I prefer Live Luxe)... floor mats for my car (cleaning the cars is his job)... a bigger tv (REALLY? So he can watch the Cleveland Browns lose with better pixels)... scratchy uncomfortable lingerie (Ladies, you know what I'm sayin')...

To be fair, I pick out what I like and my husband just buys it. He hates buying me jewelry, though, because he thinks I "have enough." He would rather buy me a new smartphone, laptop, or TV.... speaking of which, my Galaxy Samsung 4 has a defective charger port and it is JUST out of warranty. Shipping it back and hoping they can repair it for $70. If not, I will have to get a new one, and the Verizon place doesn't even have the 4s anymore.

I know what you are saying, Galeria..... you need to just take the card and buy yourself something nice. :)

Remember a few weeks (or a month or so ago) I wrote about seeing DH reading a book which I "thought" was about "levitation." Well, guess what my Christmas present this year was (along with some books) --

Two (yes, I said two) telescoping-handle "dusting" gizmos. I must admit that I absolutely love them. So far the foyer, living room, and the kitchen have had all door frames and window frames dusted all the way up to the top and my feet never left the floor!!!!

Oh it feels wonderful knowing that a giant (or a basketball player) could walk into this house (at least those three rooms for now) and not see dust gathered on the tops of door and window casings/framework. ;) :hilarious:

I wouldn't mind a man buying me a vacuum cleaner if he were the one using it.:p
