I have an old wooden bathroom hamper, the pullout kind.

I have no clue how old it is or what it's worth, so I put it on Craigslist for $40. I've got one interested buyer who is offering $30.

Is this too low for this sort of thing?

My personal opinion is that this is from the 60's forward. 1960's that is. Dark pine with white ceramic pulls was quite popular then (that's when I was first buying new furniture, btw) and is probably still available today for the traditional look lover. Looks like a plastic interior bin? If it were mine and I wanted it gone, I'd grab that 30 bucks and run.

As noted, my "opinion" only. Others may have different views. But it's Christmas and many will be away.

Id paint that sucker white, give it the "distressed" finish and sell it as a diaper bin . :) $30 isn't a bad price these days.

    Thank you!

Story is, my first email address I ever used, when I was in like 3rd grade or something, was "hotwheelsearl", since I loved Hot Wheels and since I liked the name Earl. It's now my go-to username!

No way! It has a beautiful, sleek finish and rich colour! It will fit in in most rooms and people really like that. White would be too harsh and not as versatile in as many house settings. personally detest timber furniture being painted in white or other pastel colours with a 'distressed' finish..especially if it is antique >:[ Shabby chic or whatever they call it, it is hard to strip.. it should be only done as a last resort with spoilt timbered furniture.
