  2. say_it_slowly

say_it_slowly The worst prison is a closed heart

It's a bit scary isn't it? (BUT the overall ChatGPT for this site would be enough to make me want to check into it.)

Just wait until people find out what they are in for:D:rolleyes::kiss::kiss::kiss::kiss:

It would indeed make it sound interesting, but it would also make anyone who's read one AI-generated blurb too many run the other direction. THey might also wonder if Evelyb30 is another AI. :p:p:p

As if I didn't already detest AI, there is a fairly new member of another group who is using AI to aid in describing their finds with over the top flowery descriptions, often filled with inaccuracies stated as fact (sometimes saying, "in case you didn't know") - when I pointed out one glaring error, was hit with the full text of the ChatGBT nonsense as if it was proof of my ignorance...

I'd probably read the screed and sit there and laugh if it read like Wile E Coyote was typing on an Acme computer. Then I'd hit the Ignore button, because unlike the original AI stupidity gets old quickly.

For me, it's the speed of the development and change.

It was only a couple months ago that I thought I had certain aspects of it figured out, detected and detectable. But now there's this (or that) new development... it's a bit of a brave new world, really.

    It's smoke and mirrors.

Techbros trying to get funding and/or bailouts for a concept they can't actually deliver with salespeople talking it up to clients like its gonna be the next dot com bubble and they'll miss out if they don't accept it. It's plateaued massively and makes no money lol. Microsoft is already scaling it back.

Speaking of techbros, the fElon thinks that very soon the entire US government can be run by AI.
That's the internet for you. It's how people decide on such topics as "should my child get the polio vaccine" and other such important life decisions. Collective craziness.
