    Beads bagged. :p:p

Proper ones are hand-written by a Scribe. The problem these days: find a Scribe.

c.1968 3 pc. DeVilbiss Empoli / Italian Art Glass vanity set. It took me 15 1/2 years to collect all 3 pieces. I bought the powder jar off eBay back in 2009. I was shocked when I saw the atomizer listed a few weeks ago. When it arrived a few days later I lamented that the odds of finding the matching dauber bottle was going to be very tough. Imagine my surprise when looking through my saved searches a few days later it showed up & it was the same seller that had sold me the atomizer. :jawdrop::rolleyes::p:facepalm::hilarious:

My photos do not do this set justice. The color is a very bright canary yellow & I was sure it might even glow under black light but there was no reaction.

According to the catalog this set retailed for $20.00 back in 1968 which would be $181.38 today. I am unsure what the "12-" written in ink on the bottom of the dauber bottle means.

My favourite colour! Lovely to have all the pieces. I think the 12- means $12.00.

That may have been what the seller paid for the 2 pieces or maybe just the 1 piece. There was nothing written on the atomizer.

Had not been finding much since the beginning of the new year. Did buy a few bits here and there to make a buck or two on but no great shakes. This changed this past week or so. Some of you may have seen the Harry Guttman print in the thrift store art thread. There was also the Georgian decanter I posted over in PGP. I just posted a Heywood Wakefield table in the thrift store furniture thread as well. These two items here are the icing on the cake.

Thrift store missed the sterling mark on this hand mirror and sold it for $8.00 as silverplate. It had a few good dents right in the center but I was able to take it apart and work them out.

This 12" Tilgman's pottery vase by Margit Lagerqvist is most likely from the 60s. I was not familiar with this Swedish pottery but it has a good following. Picked up from the thrift for $7.00.

Score! I bet the mark is on an edge on the handle somewhere, where it usually is.

I have already taken this in for consignment. However, the mark is somewhat visible in the existing photo of the mirror face. It is on the handle where circled. It is stamped somewhat faintly, Sterling. There are no maker's marks.

Patrick Amos, Moon with frog designs, 1993. I especially like the frog upside down, beneath the shared mouth. And the toothy frogs at the bottom....
