I got these 2 dolls in a large lot of assorted figurines & other stuff. The girl is in pretty good shape but the boy has lost his pedestal which likely wouldn't be too difficult to reproduce.

There are some pencil marks on the bottom of the girl's pedestal.

The girl is 3 3/8" tall & the boy is 3 1/4" tall.

Is anybody familiar with these dolls - age or where they were made?

    1950s. She's wearing a circle skirt.

I remember those from way back when. I wonder if NL is Netherlands? A present maybe, and someone wrote the country and year on the base?

Could well be. Gift for someone with a doll collection. "NL 1950." The circle skirt was inspired by Christian Dior's 1947 'Bar' suit. Immediately made the 1940 silhouette obsolete.

I figured 50s or 60s but thought I would run it past the doll gurus just to be sure.

I thought of her also but had never seen any photos of her. I'll check them out before I get these 2 listed. I may not put it in the title but I could possibly mention it in the description.
