I got this comb from a flea market. The seller claimed Apache but....

The wires look like copper and maybe silver?

It is African imo. Could be from Congo.

I agree with Any that it is most probably from the Congo region (not Apache or any other Native American). But I am having trouble finding comparative examples. The shape and technique is common among several groups from the Congo region and Gabon, but most of the examples I have found are made entirely of wood and plant fibers, without the woven wire. The wire on yours is probably copper and aluminum.

The only one I have found with wire used in the weaving is this one, identified as Luba, (also in the DRC) -

As an aside, the shape and technique is also found in combs from the Solomon Islands. But these use the dark wood of the fern tree rather than the lighter color bamboo used in the Congo examples -

Tonga also has similar combs, made from a bunch of central ribs of palm leaves tied together similar to the Congo and Solomon Island combs. But the weave is more delicate and detailed than on the Congo combs, and no metal.
