I picked up a rather unusual walking stick a while back. Anyone have an idea of the country of origin or age?

Good Lord, how LONG is it???????????? I have no clue as to origin, but there's a decent amount of work in creating that!!

with the metal end I'd think the mountains of Germany or Austria.... maybe..Swiss.

The rope-like carving and ball knob remind me of Turkish walking sticks.
