My mum purchased this armchair for $18 50 years ago at an auction, and we're curious whether it is worth restoring. I haven't been able to find anything online that looks similar (from early 1900s to late 1800s). It was re-upholstered 35 years ago.

Any information about it will be very well received. :) 20250120_113011.jpg 20250120_113023.jpg 20250120_113041.jpg 20250120_113052.jpg

Why are you giving it a date range of "early 1900s to late 1800s"?

No reason at all, I was just guessing. Complete novice here.

As far as reupholstering/restoring this would be a great piece to practice on.There's tons of good YouTube vids.
First though,so as not to possibly harm a piece worth hundreds/thousands-lets ask our furniture experts @verybrad and @Ghopper1924 what they think it might be worth totally restored.
