Featured Age of Chinese Lacquer Brush Pot

Hello. Could you please help me estimate the age and possibly some of the text on this lacquerware brush pot? Thanks

 

I can't help...but I sure do like that pot...the colors an' the carved? decor an' script. The checking seems to indicate good age, to me anyway. Very Nice!

ok, those few lines...

now I'm having a problem........
when I see Chinese things that are just too identical...... like those vases..with the honour marks.... that are recently made to look like older works....

So....what's going on here ?
It's almost the same pot..... but it's not !
& I never liked those cracks...or the interior of the pot....

The bases are different, so two different pots. Both are nice looking, but I am not sure about the age. The mark is apocryphal imo.
Is it just me, or was the mark added after the crackling occurred.

Naw...there's only one Devil, in my panoply of mythical culprits...he dwells behind my eyes, causes me to see things that aren't there, an' to be oblivious to most of what IS before me. Nasty fellow, but been with me so long I'd be lost without his heartfelt interlocution. Go figure.
