Does anybody here know anything about vintage signs? If I were to sell this AAA Root Beer sign, what would be a fair price to a ask? This metal sign is 57" x 33".

A regional brand and there appears to be quite a few of these around. Those factors and condition impact collector interest. You'll have a good idea of its value when this auction closes:

Like Debora says-follow the auctions.Also-rule 1,vintage signs are one of the most forged and reproduced (both acknowledged as repro & not) items on the entire web.I'd say there's a chance that 90% plus of signs out there are repops.
As was said, there's a lot of these out there-

Here's an example of NOS (New/Old Stock)-You'll see it still has the protective wrapper partially on it. That happens when a quantity of old, never used signs is discovered.

The only way to know for sure is to take it off of the wall in an old store, or out of a barn attic etc where it's been for the last 70 years. Otherwise you'd better know what you're doing.

The frame means it might be old. And there are similar framed on the internet which might indicate frames were an original feature. Always helpful to see a photograph of the back.

Exactly Ruth-True,and a lifetime guarantee (impossible since most dealers are Mom & Pops and have a lifespan of ???).
Yes-an almost forensic knowledge of sign making techniques.
PS-I was at a large community Rummage Sale and came across a gent selling vintage signs.I found a small enamel one offered for abt $30. I told him that sounded like a great price,he replied it was a repro from the late 50's/early 60's !

Hey, he was honest, and $30 for a nice piece of wall decor isn't bad at all. I've bought one or two repop signs myself, but they were on thin metal and never intended to even look real.

He was a real stand-up gent. What I kick myself for not buying was a primitive homemade gas powered cherry pitter he had-looked like Little Abner had made it, it was hillbilly steampunk.
It ran off an old lawnmower engine and was bicycle crank driven-weird. I just didn't have the heart to inflict it on my wife-she is quite patient.
Once I brought home a 1920's sanitary napkin vending machine (the famous maker),she just rolled her eyes and said-'You can put that in your studio'. She chuckled though.
