Can’t tell if this is trying to be old or is old? Also can’t tell who made it. Seems a lot of tribes/Pueblo’s made pretty similar wares. There’s a bit of waviness in top rim which I found odd. Exterior looks old, interior looks pretty new. Could use some help. I think it’s about 5” across the top. I agree, it's from Isleta.

The distinctive style, with the scalloped red lower border, with a brownish-black and reddish-orange design over a white background, dates to the late-1890s to the 1930s, when a group of Laguna Pueblo potters moved to Isleta Pueblo, and began making items designed for the tourist market.

They brought their clay from Laguna, and started using sand and ground potsherds as a tempering agent, which completely changed the look of the former plain ware that had been made at Isleta for centuries. Today potters at Isleta still make pottery derived from other pueblos pottery styles.

Thanks 2many and Tapou. I appreciate the help here!

I wonder if the shapes with dots/circles inside represent seed pods? The background information on them moving from Laguna is interesting. I guess I was a bit puzzled for a reason on this one. Of course for some reason Isleta pottery seems to be worth less than pottery by some of their neighbors. That’s ok though, still a nice find with good age for low money!!
