Small Pastel of Buildings No signature or illegible

I believe this is a pastel, maybe not, can you tell? I believe there was a small signature under the building on the right by the water drain pipe with the name maybe starting with a B. I cannot read anything. Does art of buildings like this have a name, as I would not think it is a cityscape. Does anyone recognize anything about this? I know it is a l-o-n-g shot but had to try. Thrift store find. The frame measures 10 3/4" by 10". Sight size is 5" by 4 3/8". Thank you.

 

Can you remove it from the frame? Sometimes works are signed verso.

 

Would just call it an industrial painting. Does appear to be pastel.

 

Sweet. Someone knew what they were doing. Might be work of a creative professional but not a fine artist.

not a factory painting... but , a painting of a factory !

 

When I took art classes in the summer at Currier Gallery in Manchester NH they made us go down by the river and sketch the factories so we'd learn perspective. I have a sketchbooks full of these.
