    Hi, Everyone! Happy New Year!

    Asking for a friend :)

"It's not a vase, as there's no bottom, other than a piece of carpet glued to the base. It weighs a ton, it's approximately 18"H. Would love any feedback from the group here. Thanks in advance!" Screenshot_20250105_180737_Facebook.jpg Screenshot_20250105_180722_Facebook.jpg

I really like it and from what I see in the background, it fits right in with your style.

I'll bet there's a story for why it has no bottom that may never be known since it wasn't written down. The carpet piece likely just keeps it from scratching the floor.

I thought maybe it's a pedestal for another pot, like a jardiniere. But the weight is distributed wrong.

That's a non-Chanukkah Menorah/lampstand on there, seven branches, and I'd bet on the rest of the design being Israeli too. Not sure what's up with it having no bottom.

I think this piece is adorable! I would love it! Could it have been some type of umbrella stand with the drip pan removed? If the bottom broke, I would have kept it as well. Fun piece!

    Hi scouts!
A fun piece, looks 1960s-70s. No siggy or mark anywhere? Maybe underneath the piece of carpet?
    Yes, it is.;):cat:

Or Canada stops hogging the snow and sends it south to dump on the forest fires.
