Featured Please help Soviet Union Sword ?

    Got this on a trade and can't figure it out.
    Blade has some Soviet Union marks but design looks earlier.
    Anyone has any idea what this is?

    It looks to me to be a model Russian 1881 shashka. That said, I am 99% certain that it is a copy, and a not too convincing one at that for my liking.
    many of these are made today in China, and probably if you look up Russian Shaska on ebay, you will see lots of them, all coming out if China.
