Marvel Paintings

Hello , has anyone ever heard of this painter Marvel , when i google it i just get comics Marvel, I'm pretty sure they are acrylic paint and probably not that old 70's , took one out of frame get a better look at the signature I'm pretty sure it's an M just fancy coming in and going out, and I believe i framed them with some frames i have lying around , but not sure lol

 

The one looks like it might be signed something besides Marvel ..... Maybe M. Carvel or M. Karvel? (With co-joined letters) It is hidden by the frame so hard to see. I think these are amateur or student work.

 

Those canvas panels are usually for studies or hobby projects. I can't recall ever seeing them framed. They got really popular in the 90s. I'll see what I can find as far as Marvel.

I bought them from the thrift store a couple years ago so could have been anytime up till then, i figure a name like that if it was famous you guys/gals would know

 

The new pics of the signature look like M. Varvel.

 

mmm judging from the second v i wouldn't think so , too straight ,maybe an r tho , but I did try M. varvel just now and came up with nothing but comics thank you for the suggestion it was worth a try now I'm trying M. Ravel

 

Maurice Ravel but he's a pianist,
