    That's a swallow. They have symbolic meanings such as safe homecomings.

    They were a Thing, and the blue stood out on clothing. Victorians enameled and painted them on things too, often in white for the same reason.

    (I actually have a small swallow tattoo on the back of my left shoulder. Got it back in 1983. :))
