I bought today thes three little printed leather plates, size 4.5in x 1.8in

 

Alphonse Mucha, aren't they? I bet they're Italian souvenirs.

 

Call me ignorant, but I havent heard about Mucha untill you posted this. I bought plates cause I liked them. They looked 20's 30' to me. I am now reading about it..

 

Not in the least ignorant, there's thousands of artists out there. I like Mucha, which is why my addled brain fished his name out.

The Italians made a fair few of these printed leather reproductions from the 50s on, sold as souvenirs. I like them.

 

While similar in style, these don't strike me as being by Mucha.

 

Only two of the three plates have signatures on them and the two dont look the same...

 

sure looks like Mucha .....

 

The one clearly reads Mucha. The other looks more like Audra but also might be Mucha. Hard to tell in this pic. They may all be Mucha but didn't seem as flamboyantly art nouveau, nor as refined as most of his work I am familiar with.

Makanudo, can you tell me what you are using as a camera and maybe I can suggest a way of not having almost every picture so yellow, dark and blurred.

 

Sure, but I believe it is more to due to my bad handling than fault of camera.
I am using simple Panasonic DMC-FS12 camera with macro function.
If I leave flash on , I cannot see the object in photo, everything is bright.
If I turn the flash off, photos look yellow and blurred

 

Do you know how to find the camera settings.

On the menu screen you should start with IA as the operating mode. See page 15 onwards of the pdf of the manual.

Always suppport the camera when taking pictures in low light. Holding the thing out at arms length to see the screen is inherently unstable. Find the white balance setting and select 'auto', I can't help thinking this may be set to some borderline value.

Did you buy this new? If so there should be a photo processing progarm with it, install this and use it. It can often salvage poor shots.

More light is always good. If you switch from oil lamps to electric light it may solve some problems, better still get out doors.

That camera is capable of excellent pictures under very bad lighting conditions if you know what you are doing and even fairly good one if you don't know what you are doing. It is almost as if someone has painted the lens yellow, or fitted a yellow filter.

Just a thought, do not use zoom if you are using the macro setting, go to wide angle before using macro. My Lumix camera requires this so it may be yours does too, but it's not obvious.

 

I agree I dont know how to use it correctly. I shall use your advice and try to Improve.
White balance is and was set to auto.
