Ready-made metal 'art'

    This was sold to me as 'art,' but I think it's a 'found' object, or more properly a 'ready-made.' In other words, just an object.

    It's just under 4' long (1.2m) and all metal. The alternating 90' twists make it so the welded-on 'ledges' sit perpendicular to each other, if that makes sense.

    Im satisfied with it as 'art,' but what is it? Any ideas?

    (the wires at the top are my own mounting hardware ;))
