I can see the NA in the shape of her nose, her jaw line and eyes.

Ever notice how some Russians have a slant to their eyes.? The Mongol invasion in Russia could be the reason. Also the Asian influence in the Native Americans.

When I studied anthropology it was very interesting to learn that there were only 3 races and all the others were sub races. So we are all a Hines 57 ;):D

    Hi Shilo,
To your answer of the black hair, dark eyes on the Irish side of the family. Do not think Moorish influence. The Spanish Armada was defeated and many ships were sunk. The sailors swam to the coast of Ireland and stayed. Giving rise to the Black Irish. It was funny since the Irish side of my Mom's family were all reds and blondes except for one great uncle who was swarthy with black hair and eyes and extremely hairy. A lot of "mailman" jokes about him.

LOL,yes Greg,my family called their cousins the "Black Irish" and pointed to the moors. I have pictures somewhere and the Mulligans are the dark hair, brown eyed Irish.

Whats funny, my brother has "brillo pad" hair and olive skin,blue/green eyes,6'3 and I have the straight blond hair, blue eyes,5'7. We joked about the milkman and my brother ;) My little sister is 4.11,dark curly hair, blue eyes.

My maternal grandfather,6'2 and his mom had curly reddish hair,my maternal grandmother,4'11 and milk white skin, dark hair and blue eyes. We are one weird family.:D:p:cool:

Cordially, Tauriel, I am not seeing NA, and specifically not PNW or Tlinget, whose typical features are a broader nose with a diminished bridge and near lidless eye. This woman has Caucasian features, with the brow and chin pushed forward, more level to the nose tip in profile, then what you typically see in PNW peoples.

I just found this hat in my folders, and I believe that this is the hat I was thinking of when I saw your photo.
    1909.jpg
It is a mourning hat from 1909 (sorry if I had the date wrong earlier) It has the same hat form with a lacy edge, a wide band (pleated) and a rose instead of a bow.

Hopefully you know the diff between MORNING and MOURNING. Knowing you, there's a joke in there somewhere. LOL
