    Hey folks!

My recent find that I am struggling to identify. I think it's a stunning vase, but I was surprised not to find anything similar :(
Super heavy, looks very high quality piece. No signatures or anything, but maybe someone recognizes this one. Reminds me a bit of some Murano vases I've had, but it also looks a bit Scandinavian to me. I did purchase it last week in an antique shop in Sweden.
Height approx. 17 cm (6.7 inches).

Thanks in advance for any input and Happy Holiday season :)

    Erik

Agreed ...stunning. I'd definitely look at Scandinavian makers first being that you found it in Sweden.

Kosta Boda did a line of glass bowls that had this kind of color swirling through them - or at least reminiscent of it. EDIT to add - also apparently they made some similar looking six sided vases - although I'm not finding any examples with the colored swirls right off.

EDIT again - the Kosta Boda bowl is called Atoll - and it's a candle holder/votive.

The only glassmaker I could find that made hexagonal vases is Alessandro Mandruzzato. Though, I only found solid colored examples.

First thought too. The precise shape. I have a Mandruzzato green Sommerso, that is a dead ringer for this shape... was thinking does that mean Italian? But I've never seen one with swirling colors . Following this thread!

Many of the vases attributed to Mandruzzato aren’t. They only made the clear cased ones. And Scandinavian makers did them too.

Not surprised this is Kosta with those swirls.
