Hi all, just wanted to share this. Not "antique' per se but I thought ya'll enjoy it. Its 6 1/2 inches high and on the bottom is a tiny 'TW' etched that I just cant get a picture of. I think its by Tapio Wirkkala . Mid century fro Finland. any thoughts are appreciated.

Somehow, against all odds, I was able to finally get a pic. I now see an 'a'right in front of them wich im sure was Iittala . Thanks everyone for your input.

They made some very pretty candlesticks as well. I sold a few years ago.

I love Iittala Glass. This is a lovely vase. Iittala always does well for me on resale. Mostly because no one recognizes what it is and I get it really cheap. You got a very nice find!

Ha, ha! This old pottie took one look at that and thought Iittala! You never know what is hiding in my aged brain!

It sat at a hoodwill for 2 weeks because it had some ghastly flowers in it. I had seen it but not up close. One day I passed by it and reallly looked and thought "Hmmm Swedish,Danish maybe?" so I plunked down the $3.50 . Ya'll know how I am ! Thanks so much for the info and comments .One of the best part of a find is sharing it here.

It is amazing how they hide the beauty of things there with old florals, dust and grime. You really gotta see past it all. I've had that work for me too. This piece is awesome! Congrats!

A friend of mine told me always to look at the crappy florals to see the vase. I found a gorgeous and large Blenko vase that way. That's just one I can recall, there were others. I was reminded with this post how I found at an on line auction an end table (very outdated) with an ugly lamp on it. Bid and got it very cheap. Displayed on top of the table was a set of Iittala candlesticks. Inside the drawer was s piece of Waterford that was not in the photos. It was a very good buy. But wrestling the solid oak end table to my car was rough.
