Could the location be Brugge/Bruges?

 

To me it could be anywhere . So Brugge ?

 

A very distinct landscape. Bruges is most likely.

@gerspee, The lower left corner of your image.....that looks like a signature.....can you read it or take a sharper & closer up image of it to post?? Unless you already know what it says...........?

Here's the detail and to me it's a paintbrush stroke only ?

 

I've been to Bruges about 15 times and these buildings do look typical of the houses on the canal. The initials look like LV which makes sense for a Dutch name because there are so many that start with Van something. It looks like this bridge taken from the other direction

 

Difficult to find this artist I think . No clues on the monogram on it ?
