Featured Vintage Interesting Green Stone Earrings

    Would anyone know what kind of stone these earrings are made of? The bigger stone is a little thicker. I know the history of the maker already.

    Looks like spinach jade to my eye. This etsy.com seller described as "green stone."

    Thanks Debora. Interesting that 2 jewelers and a coin shop (recommended) cant seem to help me with the stones or metal.

    That sunburst motif was popular in the 1980s (e.g. Christian Lacroix) and the clip back might lead one to believe they're later but... This ad shows Marino introduced the "Pres-Sure clip" in 1958.

    They're jade. Lower grade stones then were set in costume metal early and often by some companies. You'll find turquoise ones too in a similar design, same era.
