Staining rosewood dark

    I have a Chinese medicine chest of drawers in, I believe, rosewood which I’d like to stain a dark brown. (It’s currently a reddish, orangey brown). It may have a seal on it as it’s pretty shiny. There are raised Cinese characters on each of the 24 square fronted drawers. Am a novice and welcome all advice.

    vintage Chinese..? go black..... not dark brown...:inpain:

    Welcome to forum Eating.By the way,couldn't agree with you more-eating people is wrong.
