I picked these up today. Is there anything special here? The second photo the largest is about the size of a 50-cent piece. PXL_20241207_202735889_copy_1134x2016~2.jpg PXL_20241207_202750925_copy_2016x1134~2.jpg

I love them! I also like that you used an old penny:).

I'm not a button person though I do have a button book. It takes awhile to look for each button assuming they are even there so i don't use it often. I can give it a try if some more educated don't know.

I found this using Google lens and I think it looks similar to a button about 1 o'clock in your first photo. Of course it's an asking price. You may be able to tell if it's like yours.

I like buttons and I buy collections when I can. For a nice smaller collection recently. I’m not very knowledgeable on them but they are so fun. I’d check into dates on the two US brass military buttons. The one in the first group is interesting how the diagonal lines stop 2/3 way down or so. I’ve not seen one like that. In the second group I can’t tell from photos but looks like some could possibly be gutta percha if they aren’t jet. In addition to jet buttons being desirable I think gutta percha is pretty collectible. Is the big one to center silver? Is the big one bottom center painted on porcelain? You got some nice ones!

I think this one is like yours and is in "The Big Book of Buttons" by Hughes and Lester, 1981 printing.

The copper military button in the bottom of the second photo, with the Eagle and the anchor, looks to be the same as this one, said to be a WWII Marines button:

Is there anything on the back of it?

The Eagle button in the top photo may be a brass US Army button.

    Nice assortment!
