Unfortunately most don’t understand that smoking also interferes with a lot of medications. Especially, mental health meds.

if that's the case,,, their Dr. should be informing them of that fact.
I don't see how a patient with mental heath problems .... would be expected to know those things on their own....?????????

I agree. Then again when you get 7 minutes with your doc I guess something has to give so it the important info of med history & current info.

Isn't that what their laptop record apps are for? Intake fills things out and it should be easy to see in their program? Mine makes me re-affirm all my statuses from the year before eg. vices while they look at the program.

Not all use programs, although they should. My mother’s oncologist doesn't (NY State)- something I asked about. My doctors & my dentist does in Florida, the military does. Scripts should be.

Our medical records are all online and can be seen through an app.

I was rather impressed when we had recent cause to call an ambulance. The EMTs had full access to medical records using their tablet.

Small totem, label from Nugget Shop, Juneau Alaska; 9" tall; suspect Tlingit, "Juneau School," 1910-1920, top figure likely a mosquito. Nicely hollowed back. I don't recognize the carver...yet.

A find for me to keep! I picked this up on FB Marketplace for "only" $100.
The Chicago seller bought it from a London antiques dealer who claimed it was English and 1840s. Does that seem right? It's missing a few little inlay bits but I can accept that. The central shield was never monogrammed.
There are no marks on any of the metal (locks, hinges, etc). I was able to pick up an appropriate-looking working key from a local locksmith. :)
I'm so pleased that the leather(?) writing surface is intact! Pity about the missing lid for the pen compartment but I'll fashion something. And I found an old glass inkwell on Etsy for cheap that should fit in the compartment on the right.
The two little compartments on the left are slanted inside, what would they be for? Pen nibs?

THe metal hardware doesn't look horribly old to me, but it could have been replaced. I have a hunch though that it's Italian and 20th century, from the overall condition and the inlay work. The woodies may know better if it's new or just something an Italian restorer has gotten at. They like to make things look brand new, or so I was told.

That's quite exuberant decoration for British. I'd think Italian too. Love the location of the lock.

I'd been thinking it looked more Italian, too, however several similar are being sold as English, some with an English maker mark on the hardware.

They may well have been produced for the English market.
