Metal embossed animal planter asian?

    I found this unique metal planter. It has a an embossed bird on one side, a squirrel, a deer and a rabbit on the other sides.     Welcome Citrusy-Is that planter metal or a cast ceramic ? That heavy & semi-rough a piece could be cast iron .

    Could be cast iron, it has a shiny glaze inside the pot, so not sure! It is heavy though.
