    Hello All,

Getting back to sorting all my father's vast hoard of antiques he left behind. He always said these two vases were something special and "to call Christi's when it came time to sell". But as usual, he had no documentation of where, when, and how much he paid for them.

They stand 19 Inches tall without the stands.

Before I sell them at a garage sale, I need to know if they are special.

    Thanks!

Called a double gourd vase. Here’s another similar mark on Gotheborg, says red enamel later copies.

Sheesh. Chinese antique identification is way overcomplicated! Thanks for the help. Love this community and all the assistance I have received through the years.

    Cheers!

Yep Jarl-That's why once every 1000 years or so a vase can show up at a Goodwill that's worth a million bucks (but don't hold yr breath).

They have decorative value . Im sure there are others out there like myself who just love a pair of anything ! They seem better quality than many we see. I think they are beautiful.

as a few have mentioned they are nice decorative vases that have decorative value, but not all that old

you can tell as the mark is stamped and not hand painted on ;)
