Featured HMS Dreadnought Sterling Spoon

Looking for the maker of the sterling spoon. Oddly enough, I can't seem to find any other examples of this spoon--anywhere! Nothing sold on eBay for the past 3 years. Can't seem to find another on the World Wide Web. Am I missing something or is it my usual lack of mental powers inhibiting me again?

The maker is Dominion Jewelry of Toronto (marks shown are from my salt & spoon) - getting ready to eat dinner, but will see if the spoon is in any of my references in a bit...

That's a nice spoon, there were a number of versions of the 'Legend of the White Canoe' spoons, some better than others...

I didn't find your Prince of Wales/Dreadnought spoon either, even with a different bowl - so far as I know, there's only one out of print book specifically on Canadian spoons, and if I run across it, a bit pricey for me (do find info in old catalogs). Seems to be an uncommon, if not rare, spoon with the full figural of George, desirable for collectors of figurals, British royalty, and with the ship, maritime collectors as well, narrow dating window too, HMS Dreadnought launched in 1906, George V proclaimed King in 1910 - nice find!

Sorry, I'm no help with the spoon.
But... how does one check eBay sold listings for the last three years? I thought checking sold prices only went back three months.

 

Terapeak gives the option of checking prices for up to 3 years.

 

@vitry-le-francois - I assume this spoon also came from your "scrap lot".

Judging by the 2 pieces you have shown you might want to examine all of the pieces in the lot very carefully.
