Featured Bear Carving- Possible Soapstone? Possibly Inuit?

    You've been AI bombed: INUIT not INTUIT (they make a popular accounting software). You can try 'thread tools' to see if change is possible, but it may be too late to change.

    Not at all my area of expertise, but does look NW to me, although the Zuni Herbert Him also specialized in bears. Are there any marks at all?

    OK you two, I'll bite. How can you tell? Thought polars were really grizzlies gone north. Grolars/pizzlies are already known.

    short snout . long snout
    ears high and up front . ears wide and set back on the head
    thick neck . long neck

    Alaskans carve both bears , the Inuit live above the tree line and only know the white bear.
