French buffet- what wood?

    This ca 1900 French buffet (63"Lx22"Wx53"H) is nicely carved with two cabinets and two drawers. We are trying to figure out what wood it is made of- walnut? Chestnut? Or something else. Thank you for any thoughts on this.

    What a lovely piece ! Maybe its Fruitwood ? not my forte so wait for others to chime in.

    Could be Cherry wood.

    Possibly walnut, but I am going to go out on a limb and say chestnut.
