dunno bud, might ask if he wants it back for his gallery and split the profit. if he's got local followers of his work it might be the best bet

 

That’s a crazy amount for that painting. He better have some solid deep pocket followers. He can sell it for whatever he wants,but someone must still buy it. And that for amount I think you are going wait quite a while for your share. I would just try and sell it back to him directly then. A quick clean hit and run!
