John Wayne shirt by Kiki Layne

Found this at my local thrift store today! Googling the name on the tag 'Kiki Layne' came back as an actress - that + the One Size Fits All on a button down shirt...is this a cheap knock off type or something by Kiki Layne?

The tag is all I found - i don't see a RN number?

 

It should be on another tag, perhaps lower on an inside seam. But, if you can't find, I'd assume label is accurate. According to the internet, the company owner was Kiki Brightwell and it was incorporated in 1993.

Yeah that looks like a legitimate vintage tag. No reason to think different.

 

Do you think that's the same Kiki & Layne is a stage name?

 

I think there is no connection. Kiki Layne, the actress, wasn't even born until 1991.
