Featured Any ideas on what stone this is?

I’m at a loss with the color combo on this. Do not think it’s glass. The tube hinge/c clasp look antique. What are your thoughts?

Not a clue. The clasp is in the old style for certain.

 

I thought about that but the orange instead of green threw me off

 

There are a number of small places on the back that are not blue. Are they pits, scrapes, etc.? I'm wondering if it is ceramic.It just doesn't look like anything from the natural world in its natural state. Also questioning whether it could be dyed something-or-other.

 

I agree with Bronwen, the stone looks dyed. I have a brooch with a "stone" that reminds me of it. It is possible someone glued the antique pin on the back but don't quote me on this.

 

That could be the matrix stone. And not all azurite has malachite (green) in it.

 

Hinarushi's is glass; the back is all shiny for starters.

The OP's has a really old style back, but it's possible someone found a stash on a back shelf and decided to use them. The Scandinavians were still using tube hinges on traditional jewelry after WWII. The stone doesn't look like anything I've ever seen including azurite.
