Featured Japanese Majolica style pottery

    I still can't identify the dishes. All I can say is it looks like pottery/stoneware rather than porcelain, and might be a Thai version of ware imitating Chinese Ming dynasty patterns. I would assume it is a recent production, as there appears to be a set.

    If that sale was near me I'd be lined up at the door! If nothing else, the Jimmy Carter walking peanut is straight out of my childhood.

    Yes the Thai betel container is full of wonderfully smelling Ambre Ambiance Pot Pourri by Cote Bastide. I am not seeing high pricing on the lacquer boxes so we are pricing to sell.     Hanging around and looking cute, as far as I know. The yellow lightweight rock bits in the last pic appear to be frankinsense.

    I just did a bit more research on the figural Burmese boxes and read that they would been used to store money or valuables or used as a medicine box.
