Marie Forjan has a friend looking for vintage cookbooks. I have a lot of them. My mother had some and I've been collecting for decades. I was sure they were in a small trunk in the back of my closet. I pulled everything out and dragged out the trunk and discovered one of my mother's quilts. Good grief. Hard to believe it was just stuffed in there without being wrapped in anything. Based on the reverse fabric, it could be 1930s although the front might be earlier. I had three quilts she and her older sister and my grandmother made that hadn't been finished. I also have a lovely crazy quilt that my grandmother and great-grandmother made. I might actually start using them. Not a moth hole in sight either.

    What a great keepsake!
My mother was a knitter, I have several of her afghans. Using them makes me feel extra cozy. :)
