Featured Louis XVI chairs

    Not sure on these, are they antique and French Louis XVI style ?

    Think your first chair more renaissance revival/Victorian and a true antique. I don't see anything particularly French about it. The second is closer to Louis XV but think it a watered down 20th century example.

    Not delicate enough to be Louis XVI. I agree with Brad

    They may actually be antique by now, but they're not of the period. They look more the sort of thing in front parlors here in the USA that sat covered in clear plastic.

    In the USA, the plastic-covered furniture was often in a "living room" no one ever used. People gathered in the "rec room", best written the wreck room. Such furniture is vintage and is immaculate because it was "too good to use"...so no one ever used it.
