My searches have found this same exact instance or dissimilar style with nothing to tie them together. :(

Could they have meant that it's from Bridou (town in France, <2 hr ride from the auction house)?

I don't know what I'm seeing here. Where do you get the name Lucien? That estimate sheet seems to me to cover 2 different vases: one c1930, and the other c 1960. Am I not seeing it correctly? I agree with Marote that "de Bridou" likely means from Bridou bdcause the other one says "signe" (signed) and this one does not. But I could be seeing it all wrong.

This is the first item on the sheet. Google translated it to be ...
1 BRIDOU VASE DATE FROM 1930 SALT STONEWARE WITH BLUE AND YELLOW DECOR

MoS I dont really know. That letter and the other pics came directly from the auction listing. It was all very confusing to me. The piece went for 120 exclusive of fees but I was just curious. I couldnt find anything.

I think they made up the name Lucien because there is a french actress Lucienn with that surname. Thats about all I could find.

Hello Roaring. Im having trouble reading what you said. What do you mean an Instance or a Style? A style? as in the palette or the motiff of the vase? And instance??

Other places seem to spell it Brisdoux. there are two listings on worthpt for that name. Also I think Druot lists it that way.

Sorry for not typing clearly. Sounded good in my head. :bag:

The clearer version is that when I searched "Lucien Bridou pottery", your vase and other pottery (unlike yours and with name variation) were the result of the search.

I can't find a connection to the vase and the word "Bridou".

I ignored the supplied information and just search for a similar styled vase ... nothing.

The monogram and markings on it were a dead end for me too.

    Nice vase.

Here are other Brisdoux (seems to be same person who made the one I posted yesterday, so apparently with an x at the end of the name)
    Lucien Brisdoux (1878-1963)

And this one is also listed as a Lucien Brisdoux

So far nothing with a monogram (that looks like MP)

The FT at the top made me wonder if it's from Faiencerie Thulin in Belgium..

Since the receipt is for two different vases, did you get both or was the paper just with the one vase?
