Just picked this for a small fee. I think I've made a profit on the scrap value alone. It has some weight. It has 925 inside the shank. There seems to be a lot of silver items out there in this style so not sure if it is trying to be something else. The pattern in the inside is distinctive and may help identify it's origin.

Ha. I never even noticed that. Well spotted. It's some kind of mark but not very clear.

I have seen these ring come from Tibet, Turkey, Mexico etc. Not a Native American ring imho.

Thanks. Tibettan or Native American had crossed my mind but I'm not knowledgeable enough to even have an inclination.

The style is from Nepal. But Turkey, Thailand and Morocco have been copying ethnic styles from other countries.
My guess is this is a genuine Nepali made one, but close to mass production and I would test everything.

Yes, very ambitious. And wrong attribution, although it could be a Moroccan copy.

The eBay example comes with a "certificate."

I remember seeing a painting on eBay with a certificate of authenticity. I asked the seller who the artist was and they didn't know.

Please tell...that you aren't seriously considering scrapping that ring. Please?

Doubtful. I don't recognize the second mark, which means little other than it's not Mexican or Native American.

Nooooo. Just meant it was a shot to nothing. Even if it turned out to be complete tosh then it would still hold its value in scrap value.

    Pfft wanna buy some turquoise?
