Brilliant cut glass?

I've heard that too, Don. And I have to have learned it on Antiquers because I knew almost nothing about non-US glass until I got here.

 

So to find a sunny day in Michigan is not as easy as it sounds I got a glimpse of it today so these are the best I can do!

 

I was waiting for a sunny day to take more photos, but unfortunately they are few and far between in Michigan here’s the best I could do.

Some how our import tariffs valued hand work ie cutting over simply forming a design in a mold. Leaving the area un poliched had some potential artistic value but more important it enabled the item to be imported as cut glass which had a lower rate. I have not read.seen that 100% cut pattern rated lower tariff than the partial cut patterns.
