Featured RSK Amphora Portrait Vase

This was just won at action and I'll be very happy once it's home.

This is the second one on this type I've had. I did not like the first one's shape, also it was very big, but cheap enough to flip.

I'll be keeping this one! It's just a shame that it was drilled to make a lamp. Once again it was cheap enough. The vase is just over 10" tall. My new desk lamp?

Yes, it has applied decoration.
The lamp base is wood.

Do you think your new purchase is made by that company in the video? Exciting!

You probably know the woman on your new vase is likely based on Alphonse Mucha's "Zodiac" print. Although the background is different, some details of clothing are the same. Love it! (I have two antique candy tins also with a similar image.)

Thanks for this post. My subconscious knew this was very much like Mucha! I did not think to investigate just how much. Image searches did not include the option. I also did not know that he sold the rights to the image. RStK may have obtained permission from Léon Deschamps to use it on a vase. It's funny that none of the auctions of this vase or websites mention the Mucha attribution.

Once I get the vase, I will take it apart and see what exact markings are. I'm sure it will be from Amphora Pottery / RStK.

Unless I'm blessed with more good fortune, a period Mucha interpretation is as close as I will own.
