      Just based on the way it is woven, and the image with the square "ears" and head dress, it appears to be contemporary Mexican. It would help if the entire image on the rug was shown, since it looks like it's folded back.

      The figure, however, from the turned head, and what could be legs sticking out to the left, would be that of Chacmool, a pre-Columbian Mesoamerican figure.
