      I found this at a thrift store. I cant, for the hell of me, figure out how to post a thread or question. Don’t know if this is right way. But I can’t find a similar candle holder online. Does anyone know anything about this or when it is from?

      My wild guess on this piece would be a means to wax thread (would require a hunk of wax stuck on the pointy bit).

      Traditional carpenter’s or builder’s Ink line for marking Long straight lines on wood, etc. Similar to a chalk line in America.
      The string runs over a wad of ink-soaked fiber in the cup.
      This one was most likely made to be a modern decoration.
