I have had this floor lamp a while and believe it could be mid century.

I would love to id a manufacturer or where it might have been made.

It is quite tall and measures 57 inches to top of shade.

    Any help would be great . 20241017_175837_resize_40.jpg 20241017_175845_resize_82.jpg 20241017_175909_resize_67.jpg 20241017_175918_resize_28.jpg 20241017_175930_resize_81.jpg 20241017_175945_resize_30.jpg 20241017_180054_resize_80.jpg 20241017_180250_resize_40.jpg 20241017_180611_resize_98.jpg 20241017_180639_resize_75.jpg

    Cool lamp!

With that color, I'd be inclined to think late 60s into 70s. Also wondering if that band of fabric was applied to the shade by someone.

ID'ing these types of lamps can sometimes be a challenge. Maybe someone here will have some ideas.

Those floral embroidered ribbons were popular then. But something about this doesn't look quite right. Would/could you post a photograph without the shade?

I think its not a floor lamp . Someone along the way wanted it higher and replaced the original hardware would be my guess.

They made some really big table lamps in the 60s-70s. That said, the proportions make it seem like the stem is longer than it should be. Hard saying the origin with that European plug. Germany?

the wiring the plug and the shade are 60's, the socket and the floor switch much later.

these tall lamps were rife over here in the late 60s / 70's but the shade would cover the top of the ceramic so somebody has extended this one
( evidently an avid reader who needed the light over his book )

Is it possible that the shade is on upside down?

wouldn't it then cover the whole lamp...

maybe the shade is not original../

Dunno, just trying to figure the proportions and if it's possible.

Certainly not right this way. Agree that the shade may not be original to the lamp.
