Featured Do you recognize this Austrian ceramic porcelain mark?

    IMG_2305__1729171677_19964.jpg IMG_2306__1729171739_12072.jpg IMG_2307__1729171720_28342.jpg IMG_2308__1729171698_39903.jpg I do not know if this is porcelain or ceramic but I guess by saying ceramic, I have covered the bases. I cannot find it online. It is hand painted in Austria. The engraved marks on the bottom say 17. It measures 4 inches tall by 6 1/4 inches in diameter at the top rim. I bought at a thrift store. Thank you.

    Handpeited... what language got mangled in the attempt to write that in English? It doesn't look like it was in German.

    I do not speak another language so just assumed it was German. Funny.

    Well, I can see how it started. Just like when someone finds a listing like an item they are trying to figure out what it is so they can sell it; and they copy the description without further checking, and off it goes wrong. I wonder how many listings later someone maybe discovers it was wrong.
