I am a new member and new to art, so I would like to ask you for some help identifying the era of the painting and the artist (if possible). I know that it is not that easy thing to do, there are various things that must be considered, but maybe some can help me with this?

Signature is not visible on this one.

Thank you so much in advance.

Hm, nothing on the left corner there? Sometimes things can be obscured by the frame as well.

There were a lot of this genre of painting done in the 19th c. Not sure an artist could be attributed without a signature... If you run your image through Google Lens you can see a variety of similar pieces to compare it to.

I think you may have put the close up pic of the sig for this painting in your other thread?

Not sure this helps, but the last letters could be 'toy' or 'loy':

I don't know about the artist, but those frames are stunning!

I think all three paintings are late 19th to very early 20th century in age. Seem to be European in origin. Pics of signatures are not clear enough to venture a guess as to artist. Don't think it matters too much, as these seem to be mostly decorative in nature. I think the one with the trees and the moon to be the best of the lot.

Fully agree with the above. And if you do a Google Lens search, you'll see the subject of this landscape -- moonlight on river -- was quite popular at the time.

Think it's initials and year. RT.99. So Initials RT year 1899. Can you say where you aquired the painting as it might help to narrow down initials of artist.

But this one is on the canvas. And signature is RF as I see? Bought this in Germany, so most probably the origin is from there. We are trying to build a collection of old paintings, but we are struggling with this a bit :D you need to know what was painted and when to be an expert, and you guys help me very much. Thanks again and looking forward for more insights!

There are lots of old threads here to help you learn what to look for, if you use the search function. Going to museums every chance you get also helps you get a feel for Art Movement styles and is just an enjoyable way to learn in general. :D
